Understanding the Conflict
Cloudflare Access provides industry-leading Zero Trust protection by requiring identity verification before accessing web properties. However, automated crawlers like Googlebot and Mediapartners-Google cannot pass identity logins, resulting in HTTP 403 Forbidden or redirect loops that cause immediate AdSense rejection.
The Dedicated Public Worker Solution
Rather than disabling security across the board, organizations should deploy a dedicated public worker to handle primary domain traffic, explicitly excluding public hostnames from Zero Trust Access applications.
